CHICAGO – City of Chicago Department of Business and Consumer Protection (BACP) Commissioner Rosa Escareno is pleased to announce the return of the popular Chicago Food Truck Festival at Daley Plaza, 50 W. Washington Street. As Chicago continues to reopen, Food Trucks Fest will be a great opportunity to support small businesses and welcome people back to the Loop.
“As people return to work and businesses reopen, Food Truck Fest is a great way to celebrate how far we’ve come in the fight against COVID-19 while supporting small businesses at the same time,” said the Commissioner of the BACP Escareno. “Chicago is the culinary capital of the country, and we’re excited to bring our amazing food trucks back to The Loop every Friday later this summer.”
This year marks the 6e year BACP sponsored and organized the Chicago Food Truck Festival. Previous years have featured local specialties such as Lawrence’s Fish and Shrimp, Harold’s Chicken, and The Fat Shallot. This year’s lineup will feature a variety of food trucks that are sure to satisfy even the most discerning – the schedule will be released ahead of the first festival on July 30, with six trucks showcasing each Friday.
