Sir Nick Faldo was in Vietnam earlier this month to visit his golf course design company’s latest design project at the Silk Path Dong Trieu Golf Course.

The signature 18-hole championship course will be part of a new $60 million resort development located 90 km from Hanoi.

During the visit, Sir Nick and his team of Faldo Design reviewed and assessed each hole under construction and made adjustments to the details of its design work to produce a final golf course which is expected to open late next year. A 9-hole academy course and a golf teaching academy are also part of the plans.

Speaking during his site visit, Sir Nick said: “I really enjoyed my first site visit to Dong Trieu and I am very pleased with the progress of the golf course. We have many great golf holes with interesting features including rocks, elevation changes, pine trees, streams, lakes and mountain views. Silk Path Dong Trieu has the potential to become the best golf course in Vietnam and I look forward to seeing construction progress during my next design visit in 2023.”

Bui to Minh, Chairman of Silk Path Golf Course, said, “With Silk Path Dong Trieu Golf Course, our vision is to provide a golf paradise in Vietnam. The golf course will strive to showcase the best of Vietnam and aim to attract golfers from around the world who want to experience a truly unique and memorable golf experience.
