MSU receives leadership gift and commitment from Aaron and Bonnie Zeigler

EAST LANSING, Michigan- Michigan State Athletics received a leadership gift and commitment from Aaron (1995, Business) and Bonnie Zeigler dedicated to strengthening the foundations of MSU’s men’s basketball and football programs.

Contributions will support the Athletic Director’s Men’s Basketball Resource Fund, as well as excellence funds for the men’s basketball and soccer teams. In addition, and starting in 2023, the Zeiglers have pledged to make a significant multi-year commitment to the new Tom Izzo Soccer building.

We are fortunate to have the Zeigler family with us in a variety of ways – as donors and corporate partners – to transform our department and our programs. Aaron owns the Zeigler Auto Group, comprised of 35 locations and 83 franchises; Zeigler Motorsports, the largest motorsports dealership in the world; as well as the Trak-Houz restaurant and several racetracks.

“Our sporting director and our coaches have an incredible vision for the future and we want to help them achieve their goals,” said Aaron Zeigler. “I want to give back to the university that gave so much to our family. MSU’s (Eli Broad) College of Business taught me what I needed to know to succeed in the business world, while athletics have always provided a connection for our family at college. We value the relationships built with our world-class coaches. My first donation was ten years ago after hearing Tom Izzo speak and his vision was amazing.”

In recognition of their philanthropic leadership, the Zeiglers will be recognized as members of the Victory Circle, the highest level within Athlos Corporation, the Spartan Fund’s premier giving corporation.
