Nikon launches the Nikon Z fc DX Z-mount mirrorless camera with retro design and dual lenses; More information on B&H


NEW YORK–(COMMERCIAL THREAD) – B&H is delighted to announce the Nikon Z fc, the newest member of Nikon’s Z mirrorless interchangeable lens camera line with a retro design reminiscent of the company’s rich history of SLR cameras .

The Nikon Z fc’s APS-C sensor sports 20.9 MP and is powered by the Nikon EXPEED 6 processor. The ISO range is ISO 100-51200 with expandability up to 204,800 if needed. Videographers can enjoy 4K recording at 30 fps using the full sensor, without cropping. 120fps slow-motion videos in 1080p HD are also available, as is 4K time-lapse shooting for up to 8 hours. The Z fc also offers 20 creative shooting modes for those looking for a little more fun and magic in their shots, as well as autofocus modes with detection of human and animal eyes.

The Z fc’s USB-C charging and data port allows for tethered shooting as well as external camera power and battery charging. This allows you to take photos and videos well beyond your battery life as long as you are plugged into the mains. Plus, the camera is ready to be your next awesome webcam, with fast USB-C data transfer and a built-in microphone jack.

The retro design features dials above the body of the Z fc to dial in shutter speed, ISO, and exposure compensation. A digital display shows your selected settings so you can read them before bringing the camera to your eyes.

The Z fc weighs just 14 oz and features a 3-inch variable-angle LCD display that flips up and faces forward for vlogging and self-portraits. The OLED electronic viewfinder records at 2360K pixels, and the camera has Fi suite of features to transfer files or allow the camera to be controlled remotely.

A matching silver version of the Nikon Z DX 16-50mm f / 3.5-6.3 VR lens is launched with the Z fc, the smallest and lightest Z-mount lens on the market, weighing only 4.8 oz. The camera and the silver lens are also available as a kit.

A Nikon Z 28mm f / 2.8 Special Edition lens is also available for the Z fc. This is a non-DX lens suitable for full frame Z cameras while still giving Z fc shooters a normal field of view of a 42mm full frame lens.
