LAS VEGAS — It may be summer, but Cactus Park Elementary is gearing up for its first school year in Las Vegas! A groundbreaking and innovative new public charter school located at 3115 Las Vegas Blvd N. in Las Vegas (corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Pecos Road), Cactus Park Elementary will offer students a unique program centered on social identity, academic excellence and civic engagement, including an on-campus farm, food pantry, cactus garden and more.

Cactus Park Elementary is accepting free applications for students in kindergarten through fourth grade for the 2022-23 school year, which begins in August. Interested parents can find additional information and apply at pilotednevada.org.

“Cactus Park Elementary was founded not only on the idea of ​​educating the young voices of Las Vegas, but with the goal of providing the tools necessary to develop and improve the social identity, mental health and community engagement of students,” said Karli Casto, founder. Students at Cactus Park Elementary will be able to thrive as they have the opportunity to participate in a number of unique classes, clubs, and learning concepts, including a highly rated math and literacy program , social-emotional learning, identity studies, health & wellness enrichment, and civic engagement to help empower young voices in Las Vegas. Additionally, the family-centered school will provide family enrichment services for Cactus Park Elementary students, including an on-site pantry, resource fairs, family fitness days and more.
