Vistara has implemented a fast-track security clearance system for business class passengers departing its flight to Delhi at London’s Heathrow Airport. Vistara uses its Boeing 787-9s to operate the Delhi-London-Delhi route every day. On May 11, the airline’s CEO, Vinod Kannan, described London as the “crown jewel” among the 10 non-Indian destinations it flies to.
In a statement, Deepak Rajawat, chief commercial officer of Vistara, said: “From 11 May, our business class customers departing from London Heathrow Airport will be able to avoid long queues for security checks and through Fast-Track security gates, enjoying a seamless experience.”
He said: “So far we are very, very happy with the route (Delhi-London-Delhi); load factors are very high. Average load factors are over 80-85%, and the front-end cabins are well underwritten.”

“If we had the plane, Europe would definitely be a focal point, probably with a second London-Delhi (flight) if we get the slots, and Paris and Frankfurt would go up on a daily basis. The US is one sector we would look further down the line,” he added.
